Lisa's experience as a photographer runs the full spectrum from fashion, portraiture and still life to magazine, editorial and advertising commissions. She is also a highly regarded sports photographer with work appearing regularly in many sports magazines. Her specialty lies in photographing people in the most unusual and fascinating ways to capture intimate and original portraits. She takes pride in her attention to detail and in the ability to shoot "anything at anytime". This versatility led to Lisa being appointed to shoot action stills for the Jackie Chan film "A Nice Guy" and the up coming movie "One Perfect day". Her sports specialisation includes in depth photographic coverage of swimming, karate, athletics, sumo wrestling and the Shaolin Monks.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts-Photography Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1989 before travelling overseas and working as a photographer's assistant in both London and Paris. She returned to Melbourne in 1992 and established herself as a freelance photographer, establishing Gotham Studios in Richmond in 1994.
Lisa has recently completed a Masters Degree of Multimedia at Swinburne University and has exhibited at the Photographers Gallery in Melbourne and most recently at Gotham Studios in Richmond. Prior to that she featured in a Permanent Exhibition at The Australian Confederation of Sport Headquarters in Canberra, Melbourne Photographers Exhibition in 1999 at Dugerres on Chapel, Our Melbourne Exhibition at the Melbourne Town Hall and annually at the Gotham Studios Group show.
Lisa is currently working on a new project. The non-commission portrait styled works combine Lisa's eleven years of experience with an experimental approach.
